Thank you for your interest in becoming

Shattering Glass Movement!

Through our work we fight for gender equality and gender equity to ensure that our daughters, granddaughters and their children can achieve their dreams, know their worth, and live in a world free of barriers, discrimination and bias.

We do this through advocacy, education and outreach - presenting the issues women face, the policies that need to change and solutions that will make a real and lasting difference.

We are at a critical moment in the fight for gender equity and equality. The first crucial step is the publication of the Equal Rights Amendment as the 28th Amendment to the US Constitution. To guarantee equality for all and equal protection of the laws, to protect reproductive rights, and to stop the assaults upon the rights of women, girls and the LGBTQIA+ community, which are increasing exponentially. And our most marginalized communities are suffering the worst.

To further amplify our voice and impact, we at Shattering Glass are seeking to build a membership of 10,000 people and 100 companies and organizations in 202
4.

Please officially Join our efforts as a Shattering Glass Member below!

Thank you for your Membership!
We will send you a renewal appeal in 11 months.

Shattering Glass Members enable us to expand upon our successes, which include:

1. Launching #PublishTheERA Campaign to educate the public and mobilize the grassroots to call for the immediate publication of the ERA

2. Founding, leading and continuously growing, the National ERA Publication Task Force, a coalition of organizations and activists, working to ensure ERA enshrinement in the US Constitution.

3. Securing media coverage in the USA Today and Women’s eNews, and, most recently, in the New York Times, covering our collaboration with US Representative Cori Bush and US Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and their joint resolutions (H,J,Res. 82 and S.J.Res. 39) calling for immediate ERA publication

4. Capitalizing on our Founder/Executive Director’s legal career, we educate public officials on legal issues and analysis, through direct conversations and written advocacy submissions, such as our Written Testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee on the ERA and four amicus briefs filed in the mifepristone litigation, including two filed with the US Supreme Court.

Shattering Glass Membership enables your voice to be represented in our work in Congress and at the state and local level in the United States, as well as with employers and corporations, and the media as we:

  • Educate the public and inform and assist legislatures, elected officials (at all levels), employers and associations with the design and implementation of effective gender-positive policies, including addressing the gender pay gap, discriminatory hiring, promotion/salary increase determinations, access to paid leave and affordable childcare, pay transparency and prohibitions on forced arbitration and confidentiality/non-disclosure agreements, which allow discrimination to flourish.

  • Work with youth sports organizations to establish gender equity within sports and educate on the means to recruit and retain girls and women in sports, both as players and coaches. We also partner with other sports-oriented organizations and individuals to promote women’s sports.

The larger our membership, the louder and more powerful our voice becomes. We hope that you will consider joining the Shattering Glass Movement today.
